    You can use freeware graphics programs like GIMP.

    Get GIMP for Windows here:

    GIMP is a very powerful graphics program and can’t be mastered overnight. But, with a little dedication, you can master it.

    My basic advice is to create an image with small dimensions 90×30
    90 pixels wide
    30 pixels high
    Create multiple layers in GIMP, on each layer, you can organize the different elements of your image (Text, background color, images, patterns, etc.)
